Remember the Times

Even though Dominoe Magazine does not exist anymore, I couldn't help but remember their innovative stylings over the years. I especially liked their Dec|Jan 09 issue featuring Joy Bryant.

Chanel + Jourdan

Chanel and Jourdan both grace Teen Vogue.
I'm past the teenage days but still tempted to buy it.

London meets New York

The demise of Dominoe magazine has made way for Lonny, an online magazine that provides accessible design at the click of of finger. The typographic layout of the title calls forth visions of both London (LON) + New York (NY). For the premier issue, click here.

In a nutshell...
Their misson is to reopen the doors of accessible design. By embracing an online platform we provide inspiration at the click of a finger, directly connecting our readers to their favorite products and resources. Our freedom from page limits means that we can share more content in each issue, delivering an intimate look into the way people really live.

At Lonny, we value independent thinking and believe not in following trends but rather in making choices that lead to happiness. We believe that good design and affordable design can coexist and that true inspiration can be found in the teeniest of homes or in the grandest of spaces.

Black Barbie

Italian Vogue's July special supplement is dedicated black Barbie dolls. The first black Barbie doll, Francie, was created in 1967 and 1980. "The new Italian Vogue supplement sounds like a cleverly orchestrated promotion for Barbie's next line of black dolls [So In Style dolls]."

"...we would rather have seen another all-black issue with actual people. But maybe it's harder to find sponsorship for that." -Barbie In Vogue [British Vogue]

Souled Out?

Justice, why Nylon?

Nylon interviewed the duo in their Insider section. The basic scoop, not really inside info, they are launching a CD and video documenting their North American tour.

Did you stock up on ‘80s gear while touring North America?
Yeah, we got most of the stuff in Canada...
