Savoir Plus...
"Ce n'est pas un espace commercial traditionnel. On a tout réinventé. Par exemple, il n'y a pas de vitrine. L'espace est plutôt fermé par un mur végétal, ce qui lui confère plus d'intimité." ~Bernard Mariette | Président de Lolë

Black Star
Naana Tennachie Yankey's Coccolily was most certainly one of the most impressive presentation during Montreal's Spring-Summer 2011 Fashion Week. From the refreshing colors to the bold fabric, the stunning models and to the music afro-electric beats everything worked gracefully.
Born in Ghana, Naana Tennachie Yankey lived in the UK and the US before eventually settling in Montreal, a few years ago, to study fashion design.
Inspired by Ghana's phenomenal performance at the last Fifa World Cup, she named her Spring - Summer collection 'Black Star' and a star she truly is. Last spring, Yankey blew the press and fashionistas alike, when she introduced Coccolily a daring yet playful line of couture; she had made smashing entrance into the fashion world.
When asked where she sees Coccolily in a few years, Yankey answers without an hesitation 'Europe, I see the brand in the UK, and in places like Russia and Denmark.'
The designer was recently invited to design a dress for the Seventh Annual White Cashmere Collection 2010: Fashion with Compassion, and the result is stunning.
With a brand new e-store and a newly opened showroom, one thing is sure this 20 something lady is definitely on her way up. Love live Coccolily!
